The venue packages below allow for a variety of budgets based on the time of year and the day of the week.
Wedding Add-Ons
Make Your Special Day Truly Original
Groomsman Suite
Reserve our on-site Groomsmen Suite for the Groom and his Groomsmen to get ready and relax before the ceremony begins. Lunch/snacks and drinks are offered for additional fees.
Bridal Suite
Reserve our on-site Bridal Suite so the Bride and her Bridesmaids will have all the time they need to get ready, do hair and make up and take pictures. Lunch/snacks and drinks are offered for additional fees.
Boat Ride
A Boat Ride from Charleston to Richmond Hill with the groomsmen that morning and back to Charleston, with the Bride and Groom, at the conclusion of the event. The boat ride will include Champagne and appetizers.
Skeet Shooting
Keep the Groom and his Groomsmen entertained while they wait for the ceremony to begin with Skeet Shooting, includes an experienced guide, clay pigeons and shot guns or Fishing in the Pond, includes bait and fishing poles.
Champagne
Champagne served on the charter buses to “get the party started” on the way to Richmond Hill.
Guest Goody Bags
Wedding gifts for guests as they depart the event-we offer homemade Charleston Cashew Crunch, Taste Charleston, a seasoning packet with herbs from Richmond Hill, and Fresh Honey from Quinby, a neighboring estate.
Fire Pit
Enjoy an on-site fire pit with S’more packages for each of the guests.
Charter Bus
Charter Buses to transport guests from Charleston, Mt. Pleasant or Moncks Corner to Richmond Hill and back.
Guest Welcome Baskets
Custom baskets to be delivered to out of town guests as they check in at the block of hotels designated. Baskets will include a map of Charleston with the best restaurants and sights, coupons, unique gifts from Charleston including Charleston Cashew Crunch and Taste Charleston, a seasoning packet made from fresh herbs grown at Richmond Hill. The basket will also include the Bride and Groom’s favorite candy.
Painter
Add on a professional live painter to capture a moment of the ceremony or reception, on-site
Send Offs
We can provide birdseed, fragrant herbs, bubbles, dried flowers, or glow sticks for your send off.

Payment Schedule50% of the rental fee is required to secure the date. The remaining balance is due six months prior to the event. We also require a refundable $600 damage deposit which is due a month prior. Payments, with the exception of the damage deposit, are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Insurance PolicyWe require an insurance policy from the lessee or client for the day of the event. The policy needs to be $1,000,000 worth of general liability and liquor liability coverage and names Richmond Hill as an additional insured. The address to use for the policy for Richmond Hill is 1280 Three Mile Road Cordesville, S.C. 29434. We also require that any and all vendors are fully licensed and insured.

Event TimingYour rental includes the grounds with different ceremony location options, and parking. All tables, chairs, tents, etc. come from outside vendors. The grounds are available for set up starting at 9:30 a.m. All rentals must be picked up within 2 hours after the conclusion of the event. The rental is for a five hour event ending by 11:00 p.m.

PhotographyCouples have access to the grounds for photos the day of their event. Bridal portraits or engagement photos are included in the rental of the venue. This can be scheduled prior to your event based on availability.

RehearsalWe allow ceremony rehearsals for a one hour time frame the day before your event, at your ceremony location, based on availability.

Event PlannerOur team specializes in full design and planning and will assist you in making every decision. We will find vendors in your budget, help create the wedding design, coordinate details, gather proposals, review contracts and communications, coordinate and confirm all vendor details including deliveries, pick-ups, and requested items, coordinate the rehearsal and wedding day preparations, execute needs of the bridal party, family and guests and oversee the closeout of the location. The investment is 12% of the total bill with 20% due at the time of booking and the remainder due six months before the event.

VendorsOur event planner will ensure all vendors are licensed and insured. We have a variety of reputable businesses in all budget areas.

Drugs and Alcohol PolicyClient agrees not to permit any violations of any laws concerning drugs and alcohol. Client shall ensure that alcohol is not served to anyone not 21 years of age. Client shall not allow any guests to become intoxicated. The client shall not allow any impaired person to drive. The client shall not allow anyone to place himself, herself or others in a dangerous situation. The client agrees to indemnify and hold Richmond Hill and Richmond Hill Events, LLC, its sta, and property owners harmless from and against any loss, liability, expenses, costs, including attorney fees, damages and any other consequences of the failure to comply with this policy.

RestroomsRichmond Hill will provide a luxury, mobile restroom to accommodate up to 250 guests. Use of restroom facilities is limited to the day of the event, beginning at the start of set up and ending at the conclusion of breakdown, the night of the event. Should additional set up and/ or breakdown days be contracted for, and use of the restrooms be requested for these additional days, there will be additional costs incurred. Should the client’s group exceed the 250 limit, additional restrooms will be required and arranged for by RIchmond Hill at an additional cost to the client.

Event SecurityClient is required to hire one security guard per 150 guests, at a fee of $40 per hour per guard for each event, beginning 1 hour prior to event start time through end of event breakdown (up to two hours). Security guard is hired by Richmond Hill on behalf of the client, the fee is paid to Richmond Hill Events, LLC, and is due two weeks prior to the event date.

Send OffsWe allow a variety of environmentally friendly send-offs on-site, approved by our venue manager.

ParkingWe have plenty of parking at the site and parking is included in the rental.

TrashAll vendors will be responsible for their own trash. Failure to do so will result in a cleaning/removal fee of $250 to the lessee

Event Cancellation PolicyShould the event need to be canceled due to Acts of God/ Force Majure, including hurricanes, earthquakes, fire, or global pandemics, the decision will be made regarding whether to postpone or continue on as discussed and agreed upon by the parties involved. The client may move all deposits paid thus far to another available future date within one calendar year. Additional price increases will apply should the Client choose a higher rate season or day of the week from the original date contracted. Refunds will not be given for lower rate seasons or dates chosen from the original date contracted.

Requirements to Get Married in Berkeley County, SCIn order to get married in Berkeley County, you must have a valid South Carolina marriage license, which requires two forms of identification for each applicant. For full details and to fill out the marriage license application form online, please visit the Berkeley County website at https://berkeleycountysc.gov/dept/probate/marriage/ Please note: You don’t need to be a resident of South Carolina and no blood tests are required. However, there is a minimum 24-hour waiting period to get your marriage license - and the Probate Court offices are only open from Monday to Friday - so be sure to plan in advance.
